Rachel Rayner is a Communications Advisor at CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, where she helps connect world-leading astronomy research with a broader audience. She develops communication strategies and content across multiple platforms, translating complex technical information into engaging and accessible stories. Rachel works closely with scientists to elevate their voices in media and prepare them for interviews and public speaking opportunities.

With a background in science communication, Rachel has worked across various professional environments in Australia, South Africa and the USA, promoting digital start-ups, developing National Science Week campaigns, sharing live stories from the depths of the Pacific Ocean, performing science comedies on stage, and more.
